About George

I'm George B. Thomas: AI and HubSpot consultant and keynote speaker, a HubSpot Certified Trainer since 2017, and founder of Sidekick Strategies and the Spiritual Side of Leadership. I'm also husband to Kelly, a dad and a HubSpot nerd. These days I spend my time helping humans put AI to work without losing what makes them human.

The road here

## Nobody gets to decide what you'll amount to

1. Childhood
### Eighteen moves by fifteen
From a one-room log cabin in Montana to a life of constant relocation. Neighbors took him to church, and it changed his trajectory.
2. Age 17
### High school dropout
He left school at seventeen and a half, then served in the U.S. Navy as a night baker aboard the USS Cunningham.
3. 1990s
### Rock bottom
One morning the question landed: who have you become? Nobody is coming to save me. I gotta do something. Three years at Faith Ranch followed.
4. 2010
### The blue windbreaker
He showed up to an agency interview with no portfolio, admitted he didn't know InDesign, and learned it over a weekend. If I can learn InDesign in a weekend, what else can I do?
5. 2012 to 2013
### INBOUND and HubSpot
He attended INBOUND 2012 and decided to be a marketer when he grew up. A year later his agency was named Rookie HubSpot Partner of the Year.
6. 2016
### On the INBOUND stage
The first of many INBOUND talks, followed by stages like Social Media Marketing World, where he emceed.
7. 2022
### Sidekick Strategies
He launched what became Sidekick Strategies, the HubSpot agency built to be the sidekick to your growth.
8. 2025 to today
### Leadership and AI
He launched the Spiritual Side of Leadership and built ECHO, the second brain that runs alongside his team. Now he teaches others to build theirs.

> “Happy, helpful, humble human.”

> “Leave them better than I found them.”

> “I'm hustling for my last name, not my first.”

> “Consistency is the superpower nobody talks about.”
